How is this different from just checking their site myself?
You would have to remember to look, look at the right page, and remember
what it said last time. We re-read every competitor's site daily and keep the previous
version, so a headline rewritten on a Tuesday cannot slip past you. It is the audit you
mean to do once a quarter, done every morning without you.
Isn't this what Google Alerts does?
Google Alerts tells you when someone else writes about a competitor, which
is usually late and usually a press release. We read the competitor's own pages: the
pricing table, the homepage pitch, the feature pages they ship quietly. That is where a
change of strategy shows up first, weeks before anybody writes it up.
What counts as a change worth emailing me about?
A price move, a new plan or a dropped free tier, a rewritten homepage
pitch, a new product or feature page, a growth channel switched on or killed. Every
change is judged against the page it came from by asking one question: would a founder
in this market do something differently today because of it? If the answer is no, it is
filed and you never see it.
Will you email me about every tiny edit?
No. Sites change every day in ways nobody cares about: a rotated
testimonial, a new blog post, a reshuffled footer, a swapped stock photo. Those never
reach your inbox. A quiet week means a quiet inbox, and that is information too.
How often are competitors re-checked?
Every day. Each competitor comes back around on a 24-hour cycle, and
anything that survives the judge reaches you by email. There is no dashboard you have
to remember to open: if nothing arrives, nothing moved.
What is the growth-channel report for?
Point us at a competitor's domain and, in about a minute, you get a map of
where their traffic actually comes from: SEO, ads, social, the founder's own audience,
organic mentions, press, reviews. It is worth having on its own, and it is what makes
the alerts specific. Once we know which channels they run, we can tell you the day one
switches on or goes dark.
How many competitors can I watch?
Ten on Starter at $29 a month, twenty on Pro, fifty on Scale. Most
people begin with the three or four names that keep coming up in sales calls and add
more as the map fills in. You can pause a competitor whenever you like and its history
is still there when you switch it back on.
What happens after the trial, and can I cancel?
The trial runs three days, then billing starts at $29 a month through
Stripe. Cancel in the billing portal at any time and it stops there and then, with no
email to write. There is no password to dig up either: you sign in with a link we send
to your inbox.
